Procedure for preparing Marzipan Chocolate Recipe

Crush the Almonds and cashews to coarse powder in a mixer and keep aside. Now Sieve the icing sugar in a bowl and add the powdered nuts and essence to it.

Add milk to this very gradually as sugar has a tendency of leaving water so we have to add the milk carefully so as to make a firm dough.Mix the milk well and bind it into a firm dough.

Cover the dough and Refrigerate it for 30 minutes.

Remove from the refrigerator and and form into small but slightly flattened balls.

Note: If there is any difficulty in forming the balls dust your hands with icing sugar and then form the balls.

For the outer covering, cut 250 grams of dark/ bitter chocolate into small pieces and melt it in a double boiler (take a vessel ½ filled with water and boil it and then turn off the fire. Now place a larger vessel with the broken dark chocolates on it and let the chocolate melt slowly stirring occasionally)

Note: the bottom of the larger vessel with chocolates should not touch the water

Immediately dip the centres in the melted chocolate and shake of the excess chocolate and cover well with the help of a fork and place it on a greased tray or foil sheet. Keep in the refrigerator and chill it for 10-12 hours. Once the chocolate is set wrap it in coloured cellophane paper , gold or silver paper. Always keep it in the fridge.
