Lemon Chilli Chicken is a simple and easy recipe especially for summer time. It’s hot & lemony taste is very delicious. Try the juicy chicken’s taste. It will surely dazzle your taste bud.
Ingredients for preparing Lemon Chilli Chicken:
- Chicken: 500 gm (medium size pieces)
- Capsicum : 1 piece (diced)
- Onion: 2 pieces (diced)
- Green chilli : 10 pieces (chopped)
- Soya sauces: 1 tbsp
- Vinegar: 1 tbsp
- Sugar : 1 tsp
- Garlic : 1 piece (chopped)
- Cornflour : 2 tbsp
- Ajinomoto: 1 tsp (optional)
- Lemon juice : 1 tbsp
- Salt : to taste
- Pepper powder: 1 tsp
- Egg : 1 piece (beaten)
- Oil : as required
- Spring Onion: 1 bunch (chopped)
Procedure for preparing Lemon Chilli Chicken:
- Marinate the chicken pieces with vinegar & salt for 1 hour.
- Make a batter with1 tbsp of cornflour, ½ cup of water, pepper powder & egg.
- Heat 1 cup of oil in a wok.
- Dip the marinated chicken pieces into the batter & deep fry in the hot oil.
- Keep aside the fried chicken.
- Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a separate pan.
- Add chopped garlic, green chilli, onion, capsicum & stir for 2 minutes.
- Add salt, soya sauce, sugar, ajinamoto & sauté for a minute.
- Add fried chicken pieces, 1 cup of water & boil for 3 minutes.
- Add spring onion. Mix well.
- Add 1 tbsp of cornflour diluted in ½ cup of water. Stir till the gravy thickens.
- Spread lemon juice & remove from heat.
- Serve hot.
