Malpoa is a delicious & aromatic sweet dish. It is a combination of flour, semolina & sugar. It is an East Indian popular delicacy.
Ingredients for preparing Malpoa:
- Flour : 250 gm
- Milk : 3 cups
- Semolina : 100 gm
- Aniseed : 1 tsp
- Big cardamom : 1 piece
- Sugar : 500 gm
- Pure ghee : 250 gm
- Salt : 1 pinch
Procedure for preparing Malpoa:
- Soak semolina in milk for ½ an hour.
- Add flour to this mixture.
- Add aniseed, cardamom, salt, sugar (2 tbsp) & mix well.
- Boil 2 cups of water with sugar until it thickens & keep aside the sugar mixture.
- Put ghee in a frying pan & when it is hot enough add 2 tbsp of the flour mixture & deep fry.
- Dip fried malpoa in the sugar mixture for 5 minutes.
- Take out, let it be cool & serve.
