A tandoor is a cylindrical clay oven used in cooking & baking. Tandoori Pomfrete combined with spices, onion & colour is irresistibly aromatic & tender.
Ingredients for preparing Tandoori Pomfrete:
- Whole pomfrete : 2 pieces
- Salt : to taste
- Lemon juice : 2 tsp
- Red chilli powder : 1 tsp
- Salt : to taste
- Ginger garlic paste : 1 tsp
- Cumin seed powder : ½ tsp
- Garam masala : ½ TSP
- Nutmeg powder : ¼ tsp
- Mace powder : ¼ tsp
- Curd : 2 tbsp
- Orange food colour : 1 pinch
- Saffron : ½ tsp
- Butter : 1 tsp
Procedure for preparing Tandoori Pomfrete:
- Wash & clean fish & cut slight over the body.
- Marinate with salt, lemon juice & red chilli powder & keep for 15 minutes.
- Mix garlic ginger paste, cumin seed powder, garam masala powder, nutmeg powder, mace powder, curd, food colour & saffron, in a bowl.
- Add this to fish & keep for 1 hour.
- Grease the baking tray with butter.
- Bake the fish for 10 minutes in 350 degree temperature.
- Serve hot.
