Tomato Chilli Chutney is sour and spicy chutney made from smashed tomatoes and can be served with any main dish.
Ingredients for preparing Tomato Chilli Chutney
- Tomato – 4 pieces (chopped)
- Green chilly – 4 pieces (slit)
- Red chilly powder – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 pinch
- Ginger garlic paste – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/8 tsp
- Water – half cup
- Salt – to taste
- Oil – 1 tbsp
Procedure for preparing Tomato Chilli Chutney
Heat oil in saucepan and add cumin seeds to it. Let it splutter. Now add ginger garlic paste and mix it well.
Add chopped tomatoes and green chillies. Saute it for few minutes then add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and water. Now with the back of big spoon smash the tomatoes in saucepan and stir well
Heat on a low flame till the mixture becomes thick and oil releases from masala.
Remove from heat and take out in a small bowl. Serve with main dishes.
