Palak puri is a cuisine in Northern India. It is yummy at the same time very nutritious because palak is highly nutritious. It is easy to prepare and a very good and filling choice for breakfast or evening snacks.
Ingredients for Palak Puri Recipe
- Palak (Spinach) – 1 very small bunch
- All purpose flour (maida) – 1½ cups
- Atta (wheat flour) – 1½ cups
- Salt to taste
- Chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Water – ( to knead the dough)
- Oil – 1 tsp
Procedure to prepare Palak Puri
Wash and cut the palak into small pieces. Then heat a spoonful of oil in a pan and fry the palak until it is somewhat cooked. Do not drain off the water of palak that it releases while frying.
Mix atta, maida, chilli powder and salt.When the palak cools add this to the maida and atta mix and mix enough water and knead it into a dough. Keep the dough for 30 minutes and then roll them out into 2″ diameter puris and deep fry them in oil.
Hot yummy palak puris are ready to be eaten with any kind of sabzi.
