Roast Mutton Recipe is very easy to prepare and extremely delicious where the mutton is cooked with the spices and is very tender which is then served with hot deep fried potato straws.
Ingredients for Roast Mutton With Potato Straws
- Mutton – 500 gms
- Potatoes – 2(large)
- Onions – 2(sliced)
- Chilly powder – 1 tsp
- Ginger – 1″ piece
- Garlic – 4 pods
- Mustard – ½ tsp
- Oil – 3 tsp
- Salt – to taste
Procedure for preparing Roast Mutton With Potato Straws
Peel, slice and cut the potatoes into thin long strips (julienne) and then immerse them in cold ice water and salt for ½ an hour. Drain and dry on cloth. Deep fry in oil till golden brown. Drain and keep aside.
Grind chilly powder, ginger,garlic, mustard and salt to a fine paste and keep aside.
Now heat oil in a deep pan, fry onion for 2 minutes and then add the prepared masala paste. Fry for 3-4 minutes till the oil separates. Now add the meat and fry again. Cook till the meat is tender and dry. Once cooked serve it hot with the potato straws on top.
