Peas Paratha is an absolutely delicious & one of the best known Bengali recipe. It is prepared with the combination of flour & green peas.
Ingredients for preparing Peas Paratha:
- Flour : 500 gm
- Oil/ ghee : as required
- Sugar : ½ tsp
- Salt : to taste
- Peas : 1 kg
- Cumin seed powder : 1 tsp
- Ginger paste : 2 tbsp
- Green chilli paste : 10 pieces
- Black cumin seed : 1 tsp
Procedure for preparing Peas Paratha:
- Grind peas.
- Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan.
- Add black cumin seed & fry.
- Add green peas, sugar, salt, cumin powder, ginger paste, green chilli paste & stir continuously.
- Cook till dries. Keep aside.
- Make a soft dough with flour, 1 tbsp of oil, salt & hot water.
- Divide the dough into small balls & fill the flourballs with peas filling.
- Roll out in circle.
- Shallow fry using ghee or oil.
- Serve hot with yogurt.
