Soya Beans are sources of high protein. Chilli Nugget is a Chinese dish prepared with soya beans. It perfectly goes well with noodles or fried rice.
Ingredients for preparing Chilli Nugget:
- Soya Bean – 100 gm
- Egg -2 pieces
- Cornflour – 2 tbsp (mixed in ½ cup of water)
- Ginger paste – 1 tsp
- Garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Ajinomoto – a pinch
- Arrowroot – 2 tbsp
- Soya Sauce – 1 tbsp
- Vegetable Stock – ½ cup
- Onion – 2 (chopped)
- Capsica Sauce – 2 tsp
- Vinegar – 2 tsp
- Pepper powder – 1 tsp
- Sugar – 1 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Oil – as required
- Coriander Leaves – 1 bunch (chopped)
- Green Chillies – 8 pieces (chopped)
Procedure for preparing Chilli Nugget:
- Boil Soya Bean with 2 cups of water & ½ tsp of salt.
- Drain out the water & keep aside.
- Make a thick batter with egg, arrowroot, 1 tsp of salt, pepper, ajinomoto (monosodium glutamate, is a seasoning, don’t use if you are allergic to it) & a little water.
- Heat ½ cup of oil in a wok.
- Dip the boiled soya bean into the batter & deep fry.
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a separate pan.
- Add chopped onion. Stir in medium flame.
- Add ginger, garlic & stir well.
- Add fried soya bean, soya sauce, capsica sauce, vinegar, sugar, salt & stir a little.
- Add cornflour & coriander leaves.
- Pour vegetable stock & stir well.
- Remove from heat & serve hot with parathas.
