Tom-Yum Soup is a Thai simple dish. It has perfect balanced taste of spices, salt, sweet & sour.
Ingredients for preparing Tom-Yum Soup:
- Chicken Stock : 3 cups
- Lemon leaves : 6 pieces (chopped)
- Red Chilli : 6 pieces
- Lemon grass : 1 bunch
- Prawn : 200 gm
- Fish Sauce : 2 tbsp
- Red Curry paste : 1 tsp
- Lemon juice : 1 tbsp
- Coriander leaves : 1 bunch (chopped)
- Pepper powder : 1 tsp
- Mushroom : ½ cup (chopped)
- For Chicken Soup Stock:
- Chicken : 250 gm
- Lemon leaves : 4 pieces (chopped)
- Lemon Grass : 1 bunch (chopped)
- Celery : 1 bunch (chopped)
- Onion : 2 pieces (chopped)
- Ginger paste : 1 tbsp
- Coriander leaves : 1 bunch (chopped)
- Pepper powder : 1 tsp
- Salt : to taste
- Water : 4 cups
Procedure for preparing Tom-Yum Soup:
- Boil all the ingredients for chicken soup for 25 minutes.
- Strain the chicken soup stock.
- Let the chicken stock boil.
- Add lemon leaves, chilli, lemon grass.
- Add prawn, mushroom & boil for 15 minutes.
- Add fish sauce & red curry paste.
- Remove from heat.
- Take out lemon grass & serve hot with coriander leaves on the top.
