Ingredients for Indian Pizza Recipe
- All purpose flour – 3 cups
- Sugar – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1½ tsp + 1 tsp
- Active Dry Yeast – 1 packet
- Olive Oil – 3 tbsp + 2 tsp for greasing
- Hot Water – 1 cup
- Buffalo Mozzarella Cheese / Pizza Cheese – 1 ball
- Tomato PurÃ©e – 2 cups
- Black Pepper – 1 tsp
- Chilly flakes – 1 tsp
- Chopped coriander
- Green Chillies – 2
- Garlic bulbs – 3
- Ginger Garlic paste – 1 tbsp
- Coriander Chutney – 2 tbsp
- For toppings – Onions, Capsicum, Coriander, Chicken Salami, SautÃ©ed Mushrooms (And anything else you wish)
Procedure for preparing Indian Pizza Recipe
Combine flour, sugar, salt and active dry yeast. Add water to make a dough. The dough will be sticky, but you should be able to knead into a soft dough. Add 2 tbsp olive oil and knead well. Knead it for 5 minutes and set aside in a greased bowl covered with plastic wrap for an hour.
In a pan, heat 1 tbsp olive oil. Add tomato purÃ©e when the oil heats. Add ginger garlic paste, crushed garlic, chopped green chillies and sautÃ© well. Set aside.
After an hour, take the dough out of the bowl. It would have risen to twice its size. Place it on a flat surface and knead it again. Divide it into 2 portions.
Preheat oven to 375 °F.
Roll out each ball of dough into a rectangle or a circle. Here I made it into a rectangle. The thickness of the dough should be around ¾ inch.
Now, spread the tomato sauce that you prepared. Spread coriander chutney on it. Add all the toppings. Sprinkle coriander, salt, pepper and chilly flakes. Sprinkle grated cheese all over. Be generous with the toppings.
Place it on a baking tray or a sheet of foil and place it in the oven. Check in 15 minutes. The crust should feel crispy on touching. When it is, its done! 🙂
