Tomato-Garlic Ruhi Recipe

Tomato-Garlic Ruhi Recipe

Tomato-Garlic Ruhi is truly delicious & simple recipe. All the fish lovers to pamper your taste buds have this delectable dish.

Ingredients for preparing Tomato-Garlic Ruhi:

  • Ruhi fish : 6pieces
  • Garlic : 1 piece (paste)
  • Tomato puree : ½ cup
  • Salt : to taste
  • Turmeric powder : 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder : 1 tsp
  • Mustard oil : 1 cup
  • Whole cumin seeds : 1 tsp

Procedure for preparing Tomato-Garlic Ruhi:

  • Marinate the fish with ½ tsp of turmeric powder & 1 tsp of salt for 1 hour.
  • Heat 1 cup of mustard oil in a wok.
  • Fry the marinated fish & keep aside.
  • In the remaining oil add whole cumin seeds.
  • When it changes colour add garlic paste. Stir in the low flame.
  • Add ½ tsp of turmeric powder, red chilli powder, tomato puree, salt & stir for a minute.
  • Add ½ cup of water & fried fishes. Stir & cook till the gravy thickens.
  • Remove from heat & serve with steamed rice or polao.
