Tomato-Garlic Ruhi is truly delicious & simple recipe. All the fish lovers to pamper your taste buds have this delectable dish.
Ingredients for preparing Tomato-Garlic Ruhi:
- Ruhi fish : 6pieces
- Garlic : 1 piece (paste)
- Tomato puree : ½ cup
- Salt : to taste
- Turmeric powder : 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder : 1 tsp
- Mustard oil : 1 cup
- Whole cumin seeds : 1 tsp
Procedure for preparing Tomato-Garlic Ruhi:
- Marinate the fish with ½ tsp of turmeric powder & 1 tsp of salt for 1 hour.
- Heat 1 cup of mustard oil in a wok.
- Fry the marinated fish & keep aside.
- In the remaining oil add whole cumin seeds.
- When it changes colour add garlic paste. Stir in the low flame.
- Add ½ tsp of turmeric powder, red chilli powder, tomato puree, salt & stir for a minute.
- Add ½ cup of water & fried fishes. Stir & cook till the gravy thickens.
- Remove from heat & serve with steamed rice or polao.
