Chinese chicken cutlet is a versatile and simple fry recipe that can be prepared in well under an hour time (roughly 45 mins).
Ingredients for preparing Chinese Chicken Cutlet
- Chicken boneless – 250 gm
- Potatoes – 500 gm (boiled & mashed)
- Green chillies – 4 pieces (chopped)
- Maida (gram flour) – 2 tsp
- Green chilly sauce – 3 tsp
- Soya sauce – 2 tsp
- Egg – 2 pieces
- Water – 4 cups
- Salt – to taste
- Ajinomoto – to taste
- Oil – for deep fry
Procedure for preparing Chinese Chicken Cutlet
Boil chicken with salt and water till the chicken tender. Take out chicken pieces and shred the chicken. Keep aside chicken stock.
In a wok, heat 2 tsp oil, add maida (gram flour) saute it till its color changes to golden brown. Now add chicken stock, chillies, shredded chicken, soya sauce, green chilly sauce, salt and ajinomoto. Mix it well for 5 minutes in low flame. Remove from heat.
Add mashed potatoes to the mixture and mix it well. Make small balls out of it give a cutlet shape using hand.
Beat eggs in a bowl with a pinch of salt. Dip the cutlets into the egg mixture and deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.
Take out from oil and serve hot.
