Paneer Pakora

Paneer pakora is a delicious snack which is prepared by dipping cottage cheese/paneer in gram flour batter including spices and then deep fried. It is best enjoyable when served hot during winters and rainy season with a hot cup of tea. It is very easy to prepare and so is a good idea when you have guests.

Ingredients for Paneer pakora

  • Paneer/ cottage cheese – 200 gm,s(cut in medium sized cubes)
  • Garlic- ginger paste – 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper – to taste
  • Gram flour (besan) – 2 cup
  • Jeera/Cumin powder – 1 tsp
  • Tumeric/Haldi powder – ½ tsp
  • Chilli powder – ½ tsp
  • Asafoetida/Hing – a pinch
  • Water as needed

Procedure for preparing Paneer pakora

Take the gram flour in a bowl and add Garlic- ginger paste, chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, asafoetida. salt and pepper and mix well. Now add the required water and make a batter of medium consistency and keep aside. Now dip each paneer cube in this gram flour batter and then deep fry till they turn golden brown. Serve it hot with Green chutney or tomato sauce.
