Dhokla is the popular Gujrati recipe. It is a steamed snack contains rich & delicious flavour.
Ingredients for preparing Dhokla:
- Gram flour : 1 cup
- Yogurt : 1 cup
- Sodium bi carbonate : 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder : ½ tsp
- Green chilli paste : 1 tsp
- Ginger paste : ½ tsp
- Salt : to taste
- Water : 1 cup
- Mango powder : 1 tsp
- Lemon juice : 1 tsp
- Oil : 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds : 1 tbsp
- Coriander leaves : 1 bunch (chopped)
- Coconut : 2 tbsp (grated)
- Curry leaves : 8 pieces
- Green chillies : 3 pieces
Procedure for preparing Dhokla:
- Mix Gram flour, yogurt, water & make a smooth dough.
- Add salt & keep aside for 4 hours.
- Then add green chilli paste, turmeric powder, sodium bi carbonate, lemon juice to the mixture & mix well.
- Pour the batter into the greased pan & steam for 15 minutes.
- Remove from the heat & let it be cool.
- Cut into rectangle pieces.
- Now heat oil in a pan.
- Add mustard seeds, curry leaves & stir well.
- Spread this seasoning over the dhokla pieces.
- Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves, green chillies, grated coconut & serve with chutney.
