Radish Paratha Recipe

Radish Paratha is a yummy vegetarian dish. It can be served as a full meal with curd or any kind of aachar.

Ingredients for preparing Radish Paratha:

For Filling:

  • Radish : 1 kg (grated)
  • Onion : 1 piece (chopped)
  • Garlic paste : 1 tsp
  • Ginger paste : 1 tsp
  • Tomato : 2 pieces (chopped)
  • Red chilli powder : 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder : ½ tsp
  • Garam masala powder : 1 tsp
  • Sugar : 1 tsp
  • Salt : to taste
  • Oil : 4 tbsp
  • Whole cumin seeds : 1 tsp

For Dough:

  • Plain flour : 500 gm
  • Salt : to taste
  • Oil : 1 tbsp
  • Water : as required
  • Ghee : for frying

Procedure for preparing Radish Paratha:

  • Boil radish in ½ cup of water & ½ tsp of salt. Drain out the water. Keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add whole cumin seeds & stir till colour changes.
  • Add chopped onion, garlic paste & fry till golden brown.
  • Add sugar, tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, ginger paste & stir for 3 minutes in medium heat till oil releases.
  • Add boiled radish & cook till dries.
  • Spread garam masala powder & remove from heat. Keep aside.
  • Make a soft dough from flour, 1 tsp of salt, oil & hot water.
  • Make 5 or 6 balls out of the dough.
  • Make bowl out of each balls & fill these with radish filling.
  • Roll out each balls to circles.
  • Heat a tawa.
  • Swallow fry the parathas using 1 tbsp of ghee for each.
  • Radish Paratha is ready to serve.
