Mint Aloo Recipe

Mint Aloo is a quick & simple veg recipe. The stunning flavour of mint (pudina) leaves & spices makes this dish an irresistible treat.

Ingredients for preparing Mint Aloo:

  • Potatoes : 10 pieces (boiled & peeled)
  • Mint leaves : 2 tbsp (chopped)
  • Coriander leaves : 2 tbsp (chopped)
  • Roasted cumin seed : 1 tsp (powdered)
  • Ginger paste : 1 tbsp
  • Sugar : 1 tsp
  • Red Chilli powder : 1 tsp
  • Salt : to taste
  • Oil : 4 tbsp
  • Green chilli : 2 pieces (chopped)
  • Whole cumin seed : 1 tsp
  • Bay leaves : 1 piece
  • Turmeric powder : ½ tsp

Procedure for prepare Mint Aloo:

  • Dice boiled potatoes.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add bay leaves & whole cumin seed. Stir till light brown.
  • Add potatoes & fry.
  • Add sugar, red chilli powder, ginger paste, cumin seed powder, turmeric powder. Stir in low flame.
  • Add ½ cup of water bit by bit & stir till it thickens.
  • Before removing from heat, add mint leaves & coriander leaves & sauté for a minute.
  • Serve hot with parathas.
