Bhetki Prawn Roll Recipe

Bhetki & Prawn are all time favourite to all Bengalis. Bhetki Prawn Roll is an exotic combination of these two sorts of fishes & rich spices.

Ingredients for preparing Bhetki Prawn roll:

  • Bhetki fillet : 2 pieces
  • Prawn : 2 pieces
  • Lemon juice : 3 tbsp
  • Olive oil : 1 tbsp
  • Cornflour : 5 tbsp
  • Garlic paste : 1 tbsp
  • Salt : to taste
  • Butter : 3 tbsp
  • Black pepper : 2 tbsp (crushed)
  • Garlic : 1 tsp (chopped)
  • Fish sauce : 3 tbsp

Procedure for preparing Bhetki Prawn Roll:

  • Marinate bhetki & prawn with salt, pepper, lemon juice, olive oil & keep for 2 hours.
  • Roll the bhetki with prawn as filling.
  • Put 3 tbsp of cornflour & pepper in a plastic bag & toss to coat the roll & refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Put butter in a pan & fry the roll. Keep aside.
  • Put olive oil in a pan.
  • Add garlic, fish sauce & stir.
  • Add the fried roll & ½ cup of water & cook for 5 minutes.
  • Mix rest of the cornflour into the mixture.
  • Serve hot.
