Milk Vanilla Pudding Recipe

By Asha

Milk vanilla pudding is a very simple yet very delicious dessert. It is a sweet milk-based dessert which isĀ  healthy and tasty Option for kids as well. This pudding is a Creamy dessert which is best served chilled. During my childhood days my mother used to make this for me and my brother and we used to just love it. Now I make this for my child and my husband who simply adore this dessert.

Ingredients for Milk Vanilla Pudding

  • Milk – 500 ml
  • Sugar – 7 tbsp
  • Eggs – 2
  • Vanilla essence – few drops

Procedure for preparing Milk Vanilla Pudding

Boil the milk and then add 6 tablespoon sugar. Now stir continuously till the milk reduces to half. Remove from heat and let it cool. Meanwhile in a pan add 1 tablespoon sugar and caramelise it and pour it into an aluminium cake baking container.

Now add 2 beaten eggs and a few drops of vanilla essence to the cooled milk and pour this on top of the caramelised sugar. Take a double boiler and steam this pudding mix for 25-30 minutes. The pudding is done when the mix becomes fluffy and soft.

Once the pudding is done let it cool and with a spoon run through the edges of the cake baking container so that when you turn the pudding on a dish it comes out easily. After transferring the pudding on a dish refrigerate it for 1-2 hours and serve chilled.
