Stuffed Capsicum is a famous Macedonian Dish where the capsicum is stuffed with different combination of fillings and then baked. Capsicum can be of various types like green, red and yellow colour and are generally reffered to as bell peppers.
Ingredients for Stuffed Capsicum Recipe
- Capsicum – 4
- Potatoes – 2
- Green chillies – 1(finely chopped)
- Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
- Lime juice – 1 tbsp
- Salt – to taste
- Oil – for frying
Procedure for preparing Stuffed Capsicum
Boil the potatoes and mash them. Add green chilly and onion to it and mix well. Now add lime juice and salt to it, mix well again and keep aside.
Cut the stalk of the capsicum (top) and then scoop out the seeds (de-seed it). Now apply some salt inside and fill them with the potato mixture.
Brush oil all over the capsicums and either fry, steam or bake(at 150°c). I would suggest steaming or baking as it is healthier.
