Aam ki puri or Mango puri is a different take on the traditional puris that are prepared. This recipe includes preparation of puris with some mango pulp which gives the puri a little bit of sweet taste.
Makes – 8-10 puris
Ingredients for Aam Ki Puri Recipe
- Ripe Mango – ½ (cut the pulp in cubes and then puréed )
- Maida/ all pupose flour – 1 cup
- Atta/ wheat flour – 1 cup
- Melted Ghee – 1 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Water – to knead the dough
- Oil – 300 ml for frying the puris
Procedure for preparing Aam Ki Puri Recipe
IN a bowl add the maida and wheat flour along with salt and ghee and mix well. To this add the mango pulp purée(cut the pulp of the mango and cut in pieces and then grind it into a smooth paste) and mix well again.
Now knead these ingredients into a soft dough. Since the mango pulp will give the required liquid to knead the dough but still if you have problem kneading the dough or if it is becoming too dry you can add very little water to help you make the dough.
Cover the dough and keep aside for 20-30 minutes.
Make small balls of the dough and then roll them out with the help of a rolling pin into small puris with the help of some oil.
Now heat oil in a kadhai/ pan and then fry the puris, serve hot with aloo sabzi, aloo dum, egg kasha or achar/pickle.
Enjoy your sweet mango puris.
