Bread Gulab Jamun Recipe

Bread Gulab Jamun is a an easy to make sweet dish modified from the original recipe of Gulab jamuns. In this dish the gulab jamuns are made from bread instead of maida and mawa/khoya. The bread gulab jamuns are dipped in sugar syrup and then served.

Serves – 2-3 persons ( Makes 6 Bread Gulab Jamuns )

Ingredients for Bread Gulab Jamun Recipe

  • Bread – 3 slices
  • Milk – ½ cup
  • Sugar – ½ cup
  • Ghee/dalda  – for frying
  • Rose water/Kewra water – ½ tsp

Procedure for preparing Bread Gulab Jamun Recipe

Boil the sugar with ¼ cup of water to make a syrup and add the rose /kewra water to it and keep aside.

Now soak the bread in milk and mash them .

Form the mashed mashed bread into small balls.

Fry them in ghee/ dalda till golden brown and drop them directly into the sugar syrup.

Let the bread balls soak in the sugar syrup for an hour.

Serve warm or you can chill the bread gulab jamuns in the refrigerator and then serve them.
