Suji Ke Ladoo is a north Indian sweet, generally made at home and is very easy to prepare. Sweet meat shops add a little yellow colour to make it look attractive & similar to Motichoor Ladoo.You may improvise and modify it to your taste, you can add almonds, pistachios, or saffron to enhance the flavour.
Ingredients for Suji Ke Ladoo Recipe
- Suji/ rava/ Semolina – 2 cups
- Sugar – 1½ cups
- Cardamom/Elaichi (powdered, seeds only) – ¼ tsp
- Ghee/Clarified Butter – 2 tsp + 3-4 tbsp more for binding
Procedure for preparing Suji Ke Ladoo Recipe
Heat 2 tsp of ghee in a pan/kadhai and add the suji to it. Roast the suji/semolina on low flame till done (the colour should not turn to brown). It will almost be slightly yellowish.
Now add the powdered sugar and cardamom powder and mix well. Now add the remaining ghee slowly till the mix is ready to made into balls.
Remove from heat and allow it to cool a little. While still warm make small balls of it and your ladoos are ready . You can store them in a air tight container.
