Sweet corn is a variety off maize with a high sugar content. Sweet corn soup is very easy to make and extremely delicious. It is creamy and thick. It is a Chinese cuisine famous all over the world.
Ingredients for Chicken and Sweet corn Soup
- Chicken pieces – 1 cup
- Sweet corn – 1 cup (slightly crushed)
- Water – 4 cups
- Cornflour – 1-2 tsp
- Egg – 1
- Soya sauce – 1 tbsp
- Salt – to taste
Procedure for preparing Chicken and Sweet Corn Soup
Boil the chicken in the water for half an hour. Decant the stock into another pan.
Now separate the meat from the bones and keep aside. Then boil the stock over the fire and add the chicken pieces and corn. Mix the corn flour in a little water and add to the soup.
Beat the egg and pour into the soup in a thin stream.
Remove from fire and add the soya sauce, salt, pepper and serve hot. You may garnish it with some more corns.
