Centella Pakora Recipe

Centella leaves or Thankuni as it is known ion Bengal has medicinal values and it is also used for making pakoras/ bora with rice flour and gram flour. It is a great snack which is easy to prepare and also tasty. Above all it is very healthy.

Ingredients for Thankuni Patta Pakora Recipe

  • Centella leaves/ thankuni – 2 small bunches
  • Rice powder – 1 cup
  • Gram flour/besan – 1 cup
  • Red chilli powder – ¼ tsp
  • Turmeric powder – a pinch
  • Jeera powder – ¼ tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Oil – 300 ml for deep frying
  • Water – to make the pakora batter

Procedure for preparing Thankuni Patta Pakora Recipe

Wash the Centella leaves and chop them.

Mix the gram flour, rice powder,turmeric, chilli, jeera powder and salt and add water to make a medium consistency batter.

To this add the chopped Centella leaves. Mix well.

Drop spoon full of the batter in hot oil and deep fry them . Serve hot with tomato sauce or Green chutney.
