Nan Recipe

Nan is a kind of roti which is made with wheat flour and is thicker and baked in tandoor. It goes well with almost every Indian side dish.

Ingredients for Nan Recipe

  • Maida(all purpose flour) – 250 gms
  • Baking powder – 1 tsp
  • Egg – 1
  • Milk – ¼ cup
  • Curd – 1 tbsp
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Water – to knead the dough

Procedure for preparing Nan

Sieve maida, baking powder and salt. Add egg, milk, curd, sugar and water and mix it well, knead it well  into a smooth dough.

Divide into even shaped balls. Brush with a little melted butter and rest for ½ an hour.

Roll out the balls into thick chappatis with the help of a rolling pin and then bake it in the tandoor.
