Chicken is the most common type of poultry in the world, and is prepared as food in a wide variety of ways, varying by region and culture. Chicken liver is used in a variety of dishes. This recipe is the preparation of chicken liver in Kerala style with more pepper and is very good for pregnant women and also for women after child birth.

Ingredients for Chicken Liver Pepper Curry Recipe
- Chicken liver – 150 gms
- Onion – 1 big(sliced)
- Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Curry leaves – 2 strands
- Pepper powder – 2 tsp
- Cumin powder – ¼ tsp
- Turmeric powder – a pinch
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Garam masala – 1 tsp
- Salt -to taste
- Oil – 2 tsp
Procedure for preparing Chicken Liver Pepper Curry Recipe
Wash the chicken liver pieces and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan/kadhai and add the onion and ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 2 minutes till the onions becomes pink.
Now add the curry leaves and again sauté for a minute.
Meanwhile in a small bowl add turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and pepper powder and make a paste of it with some water.
Now add this masala paste to the fried onion-ginger-garlic ans sauté for another 2 minutes till the masala is cooked.
Add the chicken liver to this and fry for 2-3 minutes.
Now add little water and allow the chicken liver pieces to cook (add very little water as chicken liver cooks fast).
Finally add salt and garam masala and mix well and allow it to simmer for another 2 minutes.
Check seasoning and serve hot with rotis or nan.
