A sweet dumpling which has it’s origins in northern states of India, made of wheat flour stuffed with khoya & coconut. It is made usually during the festival of Holi.
Mawa peda is made easily & can be stored for many days. Mawa is roasted with sugar & cardamom & then garnished with chopped pistachios.
Thandai is a cold drink prepared with a mixture of almonds, fennel seeds, rose petals, pepper, poppy seeds, cardamom, saffron, milk an sugar.
