Coconut Diya Recipe

Sweets are a must for any festivity in India, let this diya turn your Diwali into a bright one. It’s easy to make & even easier to consume.Serves – Makes 5 diya

Ingredients for Coconut Diya Recipe

  • Grated Coconut or dry coconut powder – 2 cups
  • Condensed milk – ½ cup
  • Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
  • Almond slivers – foe decoration

Procedure for preparing Coconut Diya Recipe

Cook condensed milk along with grated coconut/ dry coconut powder in a non-stick pan . Cook on low heat till the mixture leaves the sides and forms a soft lump.

Add cardamom powder to this and mix well.

Let this mixture cool till you can shape it by hand.

Shape the mixture into diyas with a depression and mouth for the wick.

Place a thin almond sliver at the mouth of each diya.

Chill to firm into shape.
