Ingredients for Coconut Diya Recipe
- Grated Coconut or dry coconut powder – 2 cups
- Condensed milk – ½ cup
- Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
- Almond slivers – foe decoration
Procedure for preparing Coconut Diya Recipe
Cook condensed milk along with grated coconut/ dry coconut powder in a non-stick pan . Cook on low heat till the mixture leaves the sides and forms a soft lump.
Add cardamom powder to this and mix well.
Let this mixture cool till you can shape it by hand.
Shape the mixture into diyas with a depression and mouth for the wick.
Place a thin almond sliver at the mouth of each diya.
Chill to firm into shape.
