Methi Pakora Recipe

Methi/fenufreek leaves Pakora is a delicious snack which is healthy and easy to prepare. In this recipe the methi leaves are added to a gram flour batter and then deep fried. It served hot with tomato sauce or green chutney.

Ingredients for Methi Pakora Recipe

  • Garlic- ginger paste – 1 tbsp
  • Fenugreek/methi leaves – half a bunch
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper – to taste
  • Gram flour (besan) – 2 cup
  • Jeera/Cumin powder – 1 tsp
  • Tumeric/Haldi powder – ½ tsp
  • Chilli powder – ½ tsp
  • Asafoetida/Hing – a pinch
  • Water as needed
  • Oil – 300 ml(for deep frying)

Procedure for preparing Methi Pakora Recipe

Wash the methi leaves and squeeze out the water, then chop it.

Take the gram flour in a bowl and add the chopped methi leaves , garlic- ginger paste, chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, asafoetida. salt and pepper and mix well.

Now add the required water and make a batter of medium consistency and keep aside.

Heat oil in a pan for deep frying the pakoras and drop one spoonful of the methi-gram flour batter in it and then deep fry till they turn golden brown.

Serve it hot with Green chutney or tomato sauce.
