Chakka Pori Recipe

Chakka Pori are Jackfruit dipped in a batter & deep fried, is a very popular tea time snack on Kerala. It’s crispy on the outside and soft & juicy inside.

You can choose a medium ripe Jackfruit for this recipe, once you taste you can change the kind of Jackfruit that suits your taste.

Preparation Time – 30 minutes
Serves – 3 persons

Ingredients for Chakka Pori Recipe

  • Chakka/ Jackfruit – 10 bulbs
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp
  • Maida – 1 cup
  • Oil –  300 ml
  • Water – as required

Procedure to prepare Chakka Pori Recipe

Mix maida, sugar and enough water to make a smooth thick batter.
Heat oil in a pan/kadhai and then dip each of the jackfruit in the thick batter and then deep fry till golden brown.
Serrve hot as a tea time snack.
