Oats Dosa Recipe

Oats Dosa is a healthy breakfast dish where the dosa has the goodness of oats and rice and is easily prepared. With this dosa batter you don’t have to keep it overnight to ferment, just get up in the morning and prepare the batter. It is  hassle free and is surely yummy. It is served hot with coconut chutney or sambar.

Ingredients for Oats Dosa Recipe

  • Oats – 2 cups
  • Rice powder(rice flour) – 1 cup
  • Suji/rava – ½ cup
  • Water – as needed to make a batter
  • Salt – to taste
  • Onion – 1 chopped
  • Green chillies – 2-3 (chopped)
  • Oil – as required to to prepare dosas

Procedure for preparing Oats Dosa Recipe

Roast the oats and suji and then grind them into a fine powder.

Now take a vessel and put this oats-suji powder in it and add the rice flour to it. Mix well.

To this add the salt,onion and green chillies and mix well. Now add water as reqd to make a smooth dosa batter of medium consistency.

Heat a griddle and make dosas by pouring a big spoonful of the batter and then spreading it in circular motions. apply some oil and when one side is cooked turn over the dosa. Serve hot with coconut chutney, sambar or onion-coconut chutney.
