Pepper chicken is very easy to prepare with a few ingredients, and has a spicy taste from the black pepper, and an classic Indian flavour due to the other spices. It can be enjoyed with roti or even as a snack.
Ingredients for Pepper Chicken Dry Recipe
- Chicken – 500 gms
- Pepper powder – 2 tbsp
- Cloves -3
- Fennel seeds – 1 tsp
- Onion – 1 (chopped)
- Tomato – 1 chopped
- Ginger – 1 inch
- Garlic – 6-7 cloves
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Coriander leaves – 1 cup
- Salt – to taste
- Curry leaves – 1 sprig
- Oil – 3 tbsp
Procedure for Preparing Pepper Chicken Dry Recipe
Make a smooth paste of all the ingredients except chicken, curry leaves and oil.
Marinate the chicken with this paste and keep aside for at least an hour.
Heat the oil in a pan and add the curry leaves to it and then add the marinated chicken. Cover and cook on medium heat till the chicken is cooked. Now remove the lid and cook uncovered till the gravy thickens and the chicken is roasted in the gravy.
Check seasoning and remove from fire.
Serve hot with rotis or steamed rice.
