Pepper Chicken Kerala style is a spicy chicken preparation, fully bringing out the hot taste and flavour of black pepper.
You can control the spice according to your taste by regulating the amount of pepper used. This make a good accompaniment for roti or parathas.
Ingredients for Pepper Chicken Recipe
- Chicken – 500 gms
- Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
- Pepper (powdered/ground) – 2 tsp
- Curry leaves – 2 strands
- Garam masala – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1 pinch
- Fennel seeds/saunf – 1 tbsp (powdered)
- Onion – 2 (choppped)
- Salt – to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
Procedure for preparing Pepper Chicken Recipe
Wash the chicken.
Heat oil in a pan/kadhai and add chopped onions,ginger-garlic paste, powdered fennel seeds and curry leaves .
Sauté till they turn soft. Now add turmeric powder, garam masala and pepper and mix well. Once the masala is cooked add the chicken pieces and fry for 2 minutes. Now add salt and required water and allow the chicken to cook.
Check seasoning and remove from fire. Serve hot .
