Curd Rice is a yummy South Indian dish which is easily prepared and is a favourite especially during summers. This dish is the best to keep your tummy cool during the summers and is an instant hit with kids as well as older people. It is prepared with Rice and curd and then seasoned with mustard seeds, curry leaves and dry red chillies.
Ingredients for Curd Rice Recipe
- Boiled Rice– 2 cups
- Curd – 6 tbsp
- Oil – 2 tsp
- Mustard seeds – Ā½ tsp
- Curry leaves – 1 strand
- Dry Red Chillies – 2(broken in halves)
- Salt – to taste
Procedure for preparing Curd Rice Recipe
Add some salt to the curd and mix well. Now add this curd to the boiled rice and mix well.
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, let it splutter. To this add the curry leaves and Dry red chilliesĀ and then immediately pour this on the rice-curd and again mix well.
Curd rice is ready to be served with pickle.
